For as long as I’ve worked for the Thrashers (I started in Sept. 2005) the team has been actively involved with Habitat for Humanity, assisting on multiple builds per season through a partnership with UPS. Niclas Havelid was always happy to pick up a hammer when he was here, and now Chris Thorburn and Marty Reasoner have taken up the cause, showing up at a work site on Wednesday morning, along with assistant coach Steve Weeks, some members of the fledgling Atlanta Thrashers Fan Club, as well as volunteers from UPS and Atlanta Spirit. Here is a video highlighting the day’s work.

That’s great. I was hoping to help too now that I’ve been reduced to part time at my architecture job, but I didn’t get my name in fast enough to the Fan Club email.
I’ve got to do something with my extra time now anyways, if there’s ever another build again I’d love to help out, players or no players.
