Post-Win Links

Your late night post-game links:

Here’s a tidbit for you. Fro the third time in four games Eric Boulton dropped the gloves and for the third time the Thrashers scored following his fight. The man knows how to pick his pots and fire up his team.

We’ll be back at it on Saturday with morning skate coverage (the skate is optional and will be followed by team meetings breaking down tape) and game coverage. The game isn’t being televised locally in Atlanta (it should be on Center Ice though) so I’ll probably do some light live-blogging.

Great job last night. Pavs was on his game and is seeming to improve every game. As long as we, the fans, remain patient, our defense continues stellar play and the forward lines continue their sick play, I think we are looking at a good season. HooRah for the defense and especially the PK last night. In the three years I have been following this team I have never seen energy like that. Boults continues to time his messages well to fire up the team…and his boxing lessons seem to have paid off….just don’t jamb the thumb buddy. Offensively, we are so much deeper than I ever remember and I think that there will be a wealth of points spead widely around.

I am concerned about shots on goal and it is taking me a long time to understand that it is a product of the Anderson offense. As long as they continue to believe in the system, continue to fine-tune it and remain efficient with their shots and goals, I will feel better.

The team is going to have bad nights, but right now these guys need our support and so far, have earned it. I know it’s early in the season but we gotta believe. These early games on the road have the potential to hurt, bu the guys are stepping up and sending a message to the league. Which makes it most important that we as fans show exhuberant support for the team as the season moves forward. Be loud. Be obnoxious. Let them know we are behind them.

I am a believer that any team will play to the level of the fan support. And the better they will play and the more they win will make it harder for Kovy to look elsewhere. I am of the opinion that he truly is looking for every reason to stay here. The fans are included in that mix and their chants of KO-VEE – KO-VEE – KOVEE from the stands, as were heard earlier in his career, will be greatly appreciated by him and will figure into his decision.

Great job last night. Go get ‘em in Buffalo tonight.

    We’re pulling for you.

Is Evander Kane the youngest player in the NHL this season? I know Bogosian was last year.
