Krog Recalled, Practice Lines

Jason Krog has been recalled from the Wolves and is here at practice today. Krog has a goal and six assists in eight games for the Wolves this season and has played very well under John Anderson in the past. Don’t be surprised if he gets more quality ice time than he has in the past with the Thrashers.

So far all seven defensemen are on the ice and accounted for. Nik Antropov isn’t on the ice and I’ll look into that. The lines as currently constructed (based on jersey color which could change by the end of practice) are, in no particular order:

Evander Kane- Rich Peverley- Colby Armstrong
Slava Kozlov- Todd White- Maxim Afinogenov
Jim Slater- Marty Reasoner- Bryan Little
Eric Boulton- Jason Krog- Chris Thorburn

Ondrej Pavelec and Johan Hedberg are your goalies.

Didn’t Antropov take a puck to the hand/wrist in the previous game?

Entirely possible. I’ll get the official word after practice.

According to Vivlamore the reason Antropov hasn’t practiced today or yesterday was a nagging groin injury. Doesn’t sound like enough to keep him out of games..just trying to rest it.

No matter what, best to let them rest than to let them possibly hurt themselves more.

I’m not sure about those lines there. I figured they would try Kane up top with Antro and Max again and just move Reasoner onto the third line and stick Slater into the fourth.

OMG THANK YOU!!! Jason Krog finally will get another chance. When Hossa was here he was on the Kozlov-Krog-Hossa line and did freaking unbelievable. I really hope he gets to stay up for the rest of the year. (of course I say this now we’ll see how he does but I expect great things)
