Following the news that Evander Kane has been told he’s staying in Atlanta and not being returned to the Vancouver Giants before he plays 10 NHL games, Thrashers GM Don Waddell said the following:
“Evander has stepped in as an 18-year old and made a significant contribution to our club. He’s earned the opportunity to stay in Atlanta for the foreseeable future and we look forward to his continued maturation as he grows along with the young core of players on our team.”
