It’s been almost two months since the nation of Haiti was devastated by an earthquake and while there was a massive outpouring of support immediately after the catastrophe they still need help. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated Thrashers fan “Cup Guy” there’s an easy way for you to help while also taking in some Thrashers hockey this coming weekend.
“Cup Guy” was looking for a way to partner with the Thrashers to help the Red Cross and Haiti earthquake victims and after some discussions with the team it was decided that we could offer $42 upper level tickets for next Sunday’s home game against the Carolina Hurricanes for just $20. I’m personally more concerned about Chile right now. I’m worried that Americans are too “charitied out” right now to give to yet another terrible disaster. It seems like the Chile earthquake has gotten minimal coverage compared to the Hati earthquate despite the fact over 700 people have died thus far and the count is expected to rise. I just hope people are caring enough to give to another terrible disaster despite the fact it may not have the glamorous hollywood supprt that Hati has gotten.
