In case you were wondering, you may not bring your vuvuzela to Thrashers games or any other events at Philips Arena. The much-maligned noisemaker made famous at the World Cup has been placed on the list of prohibited items for all Philips Arena events.

THANK YOU!!!
A few friends of mine were considering where to bring those damnable “horns” now that the cup is over, and many suggested Thrashers games. I had a hard enough time watching TV with those things blasting in the background, I’d hate to have my hockey games destroyed by them too.

While I completely understand the general overall opinion of vuvuzelas, it is a little bit upsetting that there wasnt atleast a trial period. The droning background that we dealt with through out the World Cup would never happen and you could imagine alot of interesting things/chants/rituals that could have come from the use of vuvuzelas.

I would rather hear the horns than listen to the majority of fans that really know very little
about the game they pretend to know so much about. I was at a game and there was a girl that said the crowd was “booing” Moose because it made him play better.
Really? So, yea, I would love to hear the horns cover the sound of stupidity from some of the Thrasher ” fans “.
